Hello, my name is Auriel, however everyone knows me as Babs.
I was born on the borders of London and Essex, brought up in south-east London and moved to Burnham-on-Crouch in 1979. I spent many years working as a teacher, I have worked in secondary schools, boarding schools, colleges and have given private tuition to many local youngsters. I am now retired from teaching.
Nonetheless I did not retire from life nor society, I was appointed as a school governor and I was a town councillor from 2011 to 2015. In 2016 I was also appointed as a Eucharistic Minister to Broomfield Hospital and as a Chaplain to the Diocesan Retreat House at Pleshey. Additionally, I have enjoyed spending my spare time writing and painting, some of the fruits of which I have made public on this website. I hope any visitors may garner, at least in part, some of the pleasure I received whilst creating them.
